Friendly and knowledgeable service, and everything you could possibly want/need for your trek. I expected to pay more here but was pleasantly surprised that they had the best price (including online stores) on the boots I needed. When I had a small problem with the boots, they happily corrected it.
Staff is friendly and posses some knowledge in most subjects. However the brands are going to be the big brands only like most outdoor stores with no cottages industries however this is expected. Some items are cheaper here than they are online especially with coupons. The selection of items is good especially considering it is semi specialized and a very limited market. There always seems to be customers in the store however it usually doesn't become crowded.
Staff always have great recommendations in Rochester & Lake Placid.
