Great place to learn. Great obstetrics dept. Great anesthesia, department. Great nurses in surgery and recovery room.
Moving on to asking the woman at the info desk where I could find a clean bathroom....her response, "find me a clean bathroom in this place they all look like that." then she proceeds to argue and correct me that the CDC office at unity isn't the CDC but "infectious disease." I ask for directions to the elevator for the 3rd floor, the girl who brought me there was in street clothes, hair a hot mess and spent the entire walk on her phone as if I was inconviencing her to do her job.
AMC Lab: receptionist looks like she's never been shown how to use a hair brush or a toothbrush.
I don't even know where to begin with this review. Lets start with the bathroom: main entrance 3 stall bathroom, two with feces all over the toilet seat and the stall walls, 3rd stall with urine and feces but at least it was in the toilet with minimal ON the toilet.
Seriously, if they can't keep a bathroom clean, I have serious doubts about their capabilities as a hospital.
This used to be one of the premier hospitals in the city, a great ED, ICU, CCU, head injury rehab and palliative care. etc.. Now it is a small walk in care facility, apartments, dialysis, psychiatric care and some offices. Such a decline from such a great facility.
Call during business hours? Rings infinitely with no answer. Tried staying on the initial line, it sends me to the Emergency department within, I explain that no ones answering-- I get put on hold for ten minutes and then it hangs up on me. JFC this place obviously shouldn't be running!
Moving on: the staff in the hospital was unkempt, smelling and basically slobs with their appearance. Since when did it become acceptable for hospital staff to wear pajamas to work with slippers?!
I am really disappointed with getting the appropriate communication between patient and doctor. I was told by one of my sister's that this was the place to go for health care. After relocating from another state and all. I have had to call and get paper worked faxed to Orthopedics, Heart Specialist and pulmonary specialist etc. I had all the necessary forms signed when I went in for my very first appointment. This is beginning to be a very stressful task for me. My mental status is declining tremendously. I feel as if I am going to have a nervous breakdown. What can I do?? Please help! Thank you for your input.
