My husband, who teaches Automotive Technology in a high school in NH, knew that the car was no "cream puff"! We just needed him to be able to come home for Thanksgiving. In October I brought my car in for new brakes and I wasn't sure if I needed an alignment. My brakes were replaced quickly and when an issue occurred I was taken into the shop and showed what else was wrong. I really appreciate the fact that I was shown what the issue was, and that they explained what would need to be done to fix it. Other shops I've previously been too, have charged me for things that I didn't ask to have done. I have nothing but good things to say about Vargas and their staff. As a young woman, finding an auto shop that doesn't try to over charge you or talk down to you like you are stupid is hard. My experience with Vargas was the complete opposite and I would recommend them to anyone that needs work done on their car. Excellent customer service, informed staff, polite, respectful, and genuine.
As a grandmother of a young RIT student, I had given my older Audi Quattro to him for use in the rugged New York winters. We are from New Hampshire & have rugged winters, too. When the heater core went unexpectedly in the car, we were in a tight spot. 600 miles from NH and we do not know a soul in Rochester! Kim & Pete were outstanding!

I was on my way up to Rochester from Binghamton to see a couple of friends and go on a weekend trip to Ohio when my engine started to hesitate and my check engine light flashed. It was midday on a Friday, and I was leaving for Ohio that night, so I needed a shop with Saturday hours to leave my car at over the weekend while I was away. I was driving a ‘98 Acura RL, so I knew that if something was very wrong, getting parts would be difficult. I called the front desk to see if I could drop it off, and it got there late Friday night, was looked at Saturday, and fixed early Monday morning. They were extremely accommodating, and in a time where most shops could have taken advantage or been much slower, the pricing was extremely fair, the work was done quickly and accurately, and they handled the situation extremely well. 10/10, will recommend this shop to anyone who needs fast, courteous service and won’t rip you off. Totally there for me in my time of need!
My first experience with Vargas Auto i was very impressed. Kim at the front desk is very kind and friendly and so easy to talk to. My mechanic Pete was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. There was great communication by calling me and keeping me updated which i really appreciated and answering any questions or concerns i had. He gave me clear details explaining what repairs were needed and the service was fast and efficient which was also appreciated. It gave me peace of mind knowing my vehicle was in good hands. Their website is also convenient and helpful it gives you a round about price on what your looking to get repaired and you can select a time slot that will work for you to get your car in their garage. My overall experience was absoultey great. I would/will definitely recommend to family and friends.
