Worst gallery in Rochester New York. Very rude to potential clients or artists that choose to exhibit artwork at this gallery. Beth and Russ need to find other people to run this gallery. They do not have the ability to be civil towards clients they do not know. This gallery will not last long. I would never recommend anyone to step foot in this "mock of a gallery". Time to boot this shoe gallery out of the "real" Rochester Artists Circle.
I have been a house artist at the Shoe Factory Art Co-op for about a year now. I can truly say that the owners, Beth and Russ are working tirelessly to offer local artists a gallery space in Rochester that is of the highest caliber. They have been extremely supportive to myself and all artists equally by promoting each artist, making a warm, inviting space in which to show and sell your work, and offering to the community a place that is unique for display, congenial and a chance to socialize with other artists and art lovers. A great place to visit and great people to meet!!
Great gallery in a dog friendly building! I especially liked their February art exhibit "Unconditional Love: Cats and Dogs"!
I am a member of the Shoe Factory. As a beginning artist, I really appreciate having an affordable space in Rochester to connect with other artists and to show my work to the public. Beth works tirelessly on our behalf and I cannot thank her enough for the work she does for us.
Wonderful art gallery! Great to see a space open up for local artists to exhibit. They have a wide variety of shows and lively art openings. Kudos to this grassroots gallery for showcasing so many Rochester artists!
