Very welcome and friendly staff, Unlike Fleet Feet they have a much better selection to suit the needs of someone who doesn't want to spend $140 on a running shoe

Medved seems to have made a BIG difference in my day to day exercise comfort. Excellent service! Thanks!

I was very dissapointed with the customer service. I went in to buy trail running shoes on a recommendation from a friend. It was a Friday evening and there was only 1 other customer in the store. She was being attended to by one of the customer service representatives. It took 10 minutes before she asked for assistance from the back room. Once someone came out from the back room they seemed annoyed like I had interrupted what they were doing. My interaction with them from beginning to end was not what I would have expected. They didn't seem very happy to help me and answer any questions I had. I almost walked out but I really had my mind set on buying trail running shoes. As far as customer service goes I would not recommend them.

I always go here to get my running shoes and clothing and gear. The staff is super knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions and find you the perfect shoe even if it means trying on the whole store. They have a small indoor track and a treadmill for gait analysis. I know I'm a PIA customers and always ask a million questions and waffle between decisions, but everyone there has been so helpful, and they have a great selection! You know the staff all care to get you in the right shoe /gear for you not to just get you to buy the most expensive thing. Also their selection is better than fleet feet, and they don't mark up (the already expensive gear ) the way that fleet feet does. Many times I've gone to both in a day and the same items are cheaper than fleet feet, and comparable to online sites. Also their running groups are generally friendlier than others I've been in. Go there for your running shoes.

This review really saddens me to write. However I hope the owner uses this as a learning experience to educate his workers about the very reasons why he started Medved. If you are a novice and not well educated in specialized terms you may want to rethink your visit to Medved. Just to give you some background info I have been running for about 1 year. For the first 6 months I ran in a typical chain store "running" sneaker. After lots of running and pain I realized I needed an appropriately fitted sneaker. I went to Medved and bought a pair of Brooks Glycerin 14 which were great. I ended up loosing a major amount of weight so my son wanted to follow in my foot steps. I bought him a random pair of Brooks Adrenaline 16 from Goodwill. I promised him I would buy him a new pair once he showed me he was committed. He did just that. Yesterday my son and I, who is thirteen, dressed up in our work out gear to have him evaluated in addition to looking for a new pair for myself. We encountered a manager named Danny. When I started to speak to him I quickly realized he was not interested in preparing us to embark on a future purchase. He spoke to me so condescendingly and had no intention of putting my son on the treadmill nor to even have us try on any sneakers. Now I was not ready to make a purchase that day however we were looking towards making an educated purchase at Medved at a latter date. He seemed to be bothered by my inquiry and questions so I decided to leave. I was so hurt I went back in without my son to let him know how I felt. I had to apologize to my son profusely on the drive home for his experience which he was so excited for. Myself, I can handle that but to break my son's heart is really disappointing. I went to Medved for three reasons: to support a local business, obtain a specialized and informative opinion and to experience a memory with my son. We achieved the memory but for all the wrong reasons. Unfortunately my son and I still need new sneakers and am not sure where to go.
