We toured the estate as part of a school field trip and the staff was very informative and polite.
My wife and I just returned from a trip at the Ellwanger Estate. We were visiting on business for the weekend, and Rosemary made us feel as if we never left home. We travel often for weekend business trips, and never have we stayed in an environment so comforting and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious, the room was very clean, and the setting was the kind you look forward to coming home to after a day out. Location is perfect for access to the highway system, along with downtown and many great restaurants. Universities are also within walking distance. The river is behind the property, which lends itself to great running along the trail. We look forward to visiting the Ellwanger Estate again soon. Highly recommended.
We strolled through the gardens in late March. Can't wait for Lilac Fest and the Peony Weekend. It's going to be beautiful.
We also appreciated that unlike other B&B's, Rosemary did not 'hover'. We felt relaxed and welcomed during our entire stay.

Truly a unique and wonderful experience. Rosemary the innkeeper/owner goes out of her way to ensure her guests are well cared for and comfortable. She was most accommodating to my husband and I during our stay.
The estate and grounds are magnificent, rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable and breakfast delicious. What more can you ask for.
