We love our van. The ramp is so helpful and having the passenger seat come out is great. Fits the wheelchair wonderfully. Heather was so nice and helped us immensely. She worked with us so we were able to afford a handicap van and showed us all of it's features and made sure is was perfect before we took possession of it. Would definitely go there again if needed.
Kind of funny, when I first posted this review it was the only one. Now I get on here to find Autocrafting's number, since my wife's lift is broken again, and there are 20 reviews a few months after my first review.
Professional and pleasant experts in disability vans. Happy with my purchase.
Our experience with this company has been terrible. We got a van for my wife from them a year ago, and it has been nothing but trouble. We talked about different lifts for the van, and went with the one they recommended.
The lift has broken twice. The first time they had the van for 7 weeks waiting for a part. They blamed the manufacturer, and told us they manufacturer has supply issues with parts. My takeaway was that they installed a lift that they knew they could have supply issues with.
I have deltwith Auto Crafting for 4 years. I have had 2 vehicles from them and at no time had a problem. They do all in a professional manner and answer any question you need. They will put together anything you may need for your disability. I highly recommend them for all they do. God Bless them all
I've always been a 'car guy'. Even after my accident that left me a paraplegic, I've liked muscle cars. My first experience with Auto Crafting (now United Access) is when another accessible car shop insisted on adding equipment I didn't need or want. When I approached United, they listened to what I needed and only installed the equipment I required. The installer (Dave) treated my car as if he was working on his own. His work is excellent. United has the experience and skill to outfit your normal van, sedan, truck or even your performance car and not leave it looking like some hack job. I've take several vehicles to United since my first visit in 2010. I have no desire to go anywhere else. They're the best!
They had the van towed to a Ford dealer, who knows zilch about accessibility options. The dealer was able to get the van running, but now the lift doesn't work. AutoCrafting wants me to drive the van to them to get it fixed. So I get take another day off from work to drive the van to them because they are too cheap to come and get it. Not only that but we called them two days ago to find out what was going on, and never heard back from them.
The parts breaking I can forgive, the service I cannot. We pay way too much money for these vans to be treated like this.
The other problem we are having is with the transfer base seat. There is some issue with the seat communicating with the van's electronics. When this happens the van will not shift out of park. This has happened to us twice, the most recent was a few days ago.
