Great park. Has a pond for feeding ducks, had playground great for kids

Nice Park with deer, geese, ducks, etc. Pond with picnic facilities, and of coarse the zoo. Nice place for families.

Seneca park is my favorite of the local Rochester area parks... not to say that they all aren't great in their own regard. Great walking paths... awesome trails... copious parking... water... wildlife... kids activities... overall a great place for exploring and adventure. Also an awesome spot for photoshoots!

Seneca Park Zoo provides an excellent educational, fun and relaxing experience. They have Tigers, Orangutans, Rhinocerous, Otters and more! There is a fun wading area for children next a school aged sized playground. Towards the back of the zoo you will find the newer enclosures of Rocky Coasts and Step into Africa. Rocky Coasts is home to penguins, a Polar Bear named Aurora and Sea Lions. Step into Africa has a troupe of baboons a pride of Lions and a herd of Elephants. The zoo definitely is worth a stop when visiting Rochester!

It's great that the zoo is expanding and construction noise etc. is expected. But I was there today and was aghast at the "mulch" put on the trail. It was a good idea but it looks more like debris. Some of the pieces were the size of limbs and a trip hazard. Has anyone from the park office looked at it? I tried to remove some of it while walking. i am so hoping that this park will get in on the renovations since it is a beautiful park.
