Wonderful place! My drum corps, Atlanta CV, rehearses there every Labor Day weekend when we travel to Rochester for our championship competition.
Located in a wooded area off of Lyell Rd in Gates. It opens up to a large park with a small children's play area and large, multiple sports fields.
They've also recently added a 9-hole disc golf course to the park which is pretty fantastic if you're in to that. Rochester has a fair number of these, but few on the West side.
Great space for all activities, good for all ages, wish the town would water the field.
For sports enthusiasts, there are 4 soccer fields and one large baseball diamond. All of the fields looked to be pretty well maintained. Soccer season hadn't started yet when we visited so the lines on the fields were pretty faded, but that's to be expected.
This park really has something for everyone! We loved the large playground area with multiple play structures and swing sets. Kids of all ages will have a ton of fun on them.
Finally, there are trails and even a pond with a dock. This park is really amazing!
