This is one of my favorite parks in the area. There are many great views and paved trails to take a nice walk, a run, etc. On. It is very relaxing to take a blanket and sit on the open grass hills between the lilacs. The location is central to the area and as I said a one of a kind park.
Excellent park for walks, sight seeing, or just a breath of fresh air. The first real Rochester park, and still one of the best!
Great place for a run. Beautiful views. Beyond walking not much activity here.
What I like best about this park is that the natural features are intact: hills, valleys, ponds. It is a large, open park with paved pathways, benches, lots of grass and plants. Restrooms on site. Playground, hidden gardens, a reservoir. It makes you feel like you can get lost in nature, just a little bit, in the middle of the city.
Just a beautiful place. I love nature... flowers... architecture.. Highland offers all of it. Great place to walk and meditate. My hobby is photography, so it's a great place to take people to do photo shoots... or just shoot with no other people involved. Love Highland.. it's a gem
