I love my Oreck and have always found the staff at the store in Brighton to be friendly and keep my 11 year old Oreck in top condition. I will never buy another brand other then Oreck.
I called the "ORECK Store" and talked to Teresa and gave her the model number, name and date my MIELE was manufactured and asked if she had a HEPA filter for it. Teresa said that she had 1 and it was the last 1 and she would hold it for me. I then drove to her store to buy it. While I was there, I asked Teresa if she had vacuum cleaner bags for my model of Miele. Teresa said that there was no way she could figure out which bags would fit my miele vacuum cleaner. I was perplexed because I had given her the model number etc and she was able to look up the HEPA filter so why couldn't she look up the bags for my model of Miele. Teresa replied because she had only been selling Miele parts for 3 years and my vacuum was older so she was unfamiliar with my model. Her reply made no sense to me. So I looked at all of their Miele vacuum cleaner bags and I was able to figure out the correct one by myself based on the model number that I had given her. When I got home I tried to put the HEPA filter in my vacuum and realized that Teresa sold me the wrong one. I drove back to the store and rightfully complained and Teresa got very nasty with me. Teresa then gave me a different one and told me it was $10.00 MORE but that she wouldn't charge me the difference. When I got home I realized that it was the right size but it was NOT a HEPA filter! Also everyone on line charged $10.00 LESS for this "Active" filter. Since I needed a HEPA filter I had to return to her store for a THIRD time to return it and learn that she NEVER did have the item I called her for before driving to her store in the first place. I called Miele Customer service who promptly answered and they told me that she could have called them and they would have given her the correct information . I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE "ORECK STORE" AGAIN!
