Our experience with Bartlomeo & Perotto was all about personal service. Mike Perotto spent 3 hours with us and by the end of that time we felt as though he’d known us, and our mother that had just passed away, for years. He knew what we wanted before we did. We had no idea how to proceed but he and his staff were with us every step of the way. Mike offered suggestions and explained the grieving process that helped us to make decisions we may not have otherwise made without his guidance.
We can’t say enough about the excellent care we received topping it off with having Rocky, their grief therapy dog (in training), by our side. They became our mentors, our advocates, and our friends.
One thing we realize is important, which we'd never thought about, was how they've kept up with technology. My grandmother's obituary is online (forever). They also posted the slide show so that we can share it with friends and family. This was particularly useful because our family is located all over the world.
I dropped off 3 boxes of items for my mom's memory table. I wanted to be involved in setting them up but I had other things to do so I had to trust them. When I walked in and saw what they did to honor my mom, I started to cry. I had very high expectations and they far exceeded them.
Many people that were there told us how impressed they were with the facility, personable staff, funeral service and eulogy given by Mike because we didn’t have a clergy. Our mom would have been so pleased with everything. They’re exceptional at what they do and have a deep understanding on what each family needs to go through this.
I world highly recommend them! Everyone was compassionate, helpful, caring, kind and professional during this stressful & very emotional time. Let's face it, no one wants to make funeral arrangements but they made it bearable during our time of raw grief.
The funeral was very clean, beautiful and smelled sweet. The room where we had the wake included a slide show, which they put together for us. They even gave out butterfly pins, which we hadn't expected but the family appreciated.
The Book of Memories is a wonderful way for people to upload photos, leave condolences and post stories and memories. We had a lot of family out of state and not able to come. This was a way for them to feel like they were there.
Overall, we felt as though my grandmother (at 91 years of age) was given a gracious and dignified exit as we laid her to rest. For that we are truly thankful.
