If we return, it will not be on a Sunday morning. Other folks that were waiting over an hour for their table said they were seated immediately yesterday.
This was our 2nd time here. I'll start with the positives. The food is outstanding. The menu is varied with lots of delicious options. The home fries are possibly the best I've ever had, and you can get them topped a variety of ways. My son got them topped with buffalo sauce and shredded cheddar. They have a great tea menu which they instruct you on proper brewing times, etc. The bakery out front has lots of delicious looking baked goods including plenty of gluten free options. Our server was excellent. She was friendly, checked on us with the appropriate frequency and ensured everything was to our liking. She did not seem burdened with too many tables given the busy-ness of peak brunch time. The kitchen sent out the food quickly and we were all delighted with our choices.
Didn't have a great experience here. Waited probably 45min to an hour for our food. I got the queen eggs Benedict with the duck bacon. It was rather bland. I thought the duck bacon would be something amazing, but it just sort of reminded me of turkey bacon which I am not really a fan of. I guess that was my bad. Waitress was really nice and helpful though. The jamaican coffee was pretty good. Someone else in our party had real bacon and the tea and they said that was pretty good.
The teas are fantastic! I haven't tried lunch, but I highly recommend getting any toppers (especially Hatter's Way) on your potatoes. The inside is very cute. The two things I haven't tried are the lunch menu and desserts. The desserts looks delicious!
Thumbs up. Great tea service and fresh pastry/dessert selection. Menu has interesting items for everyone. Food could have been hotter.
Had a high tea baby shower and it was wonderful. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious! Everyone who attended raved over it.
I would have given them 5 stars except for their seating system and less than welcoming hostess. Whatever time they tell you the wait will be, double it. She didn't ask if we were willing to sit outside, which might have had a shorter wait. Customers had to inquire about outdoor seating. Given the wait, I wanted a muffin as my stomach isn't used to eating so long after I wake. The hostess could have simply asked nicely that I take it outside. Instead she seemed to ignore that I had asked to order something when she finished seating customers and then told me they don't allow waiting customers to eat in the waiting area. I don't have an issue with the policy, just the handling of it. After well past the 20 minute wait we were told, my husband inquired and our party of 3 was next. She then proceeded to call two different parties of 4. We dine out often, my family owned a restaurant and I waitresses for several years. I've never experienced a 3 top not being treated equal to a 4 top when seating. When leaving the restaurant we noticed it was now half empty, so wrongly assumed the rush had died down. We were startled to see a number of parties of varying sizes waiting for tables. Based on our dining experience, the wait staff and the kitchen could certainly handle more customers. It only seemed the hostess could not.
