I was referred to this service last night from Mark from Hope House. I called them last night spoke with a lady, asked the cost from hotel my Mom was broke down at to Strong Memorial Hospital. She told me $20, I asked for her name so my Mom could call her directly, her reply is Im the only one who will answer. My Mom then called to set up her arrangement, and that lady told her $22. Not a huge difference in price, but horrible service to give two different prices. Your phone service could be a little better, along with getting prices correct. Only used your service as it was referred. Mark also asked me to call him back and let him know how it went. The driver was early and the car was clean!!!
Two things- first, even though this number is listed on the internet as Rochester Taxi and Brighton Cab, it definitely connects to Park Avunue Taxi LLC. That what texted me for confirmation, so be aware, since they have some pretty negative reviews. I had actually specifically been trying to avoid Park Avenue Taxi, because while I've used them a number of times in the past, over the years service seems to have declined and I was moderately unhappy with them the last time I utilized them. Second, we had asked to go to the train station, the driver dropped us off at the bus station, and by the time we realized this (neither of us were specifically familiar with either building, not having travelled this way in years, and it was dark and snowing, so we figured the driver knew where one of the, what I imagine to be, most frequent drop-off/ pick-up spots in the city was) and then walked over to the train station (in the snow, carting around luggage), we ended up missing our train. So, dissatisfied for both the incorrect drop-off and the misrepresentation of the company name.
They charged me 15 for a ride that cost 6. Can you say rip off
This is actually park Ave taxi. Which IS HORRIBLE. I called for a cab to the airport, the driver didn't help me with my bags or anything. Then he was rude to me and wouldn't unlock the door when I told him I would get the luggage. He was parked far away. Then tried to take me a long way (which they have done before) they charge a ridiculous amount. Basically save yourself the money and take your business elsewhere. These people are the reason why I can't wait for uber.
We loved Alex. Good people... Very punctual, forthright service, good driver and made us laugh.
