GEVA THEATRE: This is where you had the privilege to go behind the scenes' of the newly remodeled facilities' for the actors. Stainless steel appliances' and glass floors make this a prime studio to practice in. You also had the opportunity to see the stage renovations, as well as seeing how the whole building is being restored to its originality as it was back in 1905 (currently being worked on as we speak).

JONATHAN CHILD HOUSE: home to our very first mayor of Rochester, and also our first Greek revival building in Corn Hill. This now houses the Tango Café/Studios, in which we had the opportunity to have a practice lesson. The studios where spacious, airy, and had well-polished hardware floors making it easy to glide with the tango. The instructors' were very patient in guiding all of us through the correct dance moves.

COMPRON LOFTS: The tour heats up with these massive condominium units on Capron Street. This will give you the good life living in downtown Rochester with multiple "open" floor plans. The Compron Lofts has a rooftop deck with a spectacular view of the Downtown Bridge, with multiple patio sets to relax on!

YUP's Pop-Up Experience: This was the biggest flub of the tour, since we spent minutes trying to find a building that was just recently bulldozed. We should have been notified of this when the tour started, and it should have been removed/crossed-off from the map! We had to ask around; before a neighbor told us the empty space of dirt is where it is located.

THE LEGACY TOWER: formally the Bausch and Lomb Tower, this was the check-in point for the beginning of the tour. Here you can take a look at the planetary orbits in the hallways, along with many other statues dedicated to Larry and Jane Glazer who have recently departed. Refreshments' are also provided, which will give you that energy boost to begin your day. I was lucky enough to have a security guard take me up to their 52nd Floor Garden Observatory. The Observatory gave you a 360 degree view of downtown while being surrounded by luscious gardens' on all sides.

One of the BEST tours in the Greater Rochester area is the INSIDE DOWNTOWN TOUR. This is sponsored by The Landmark Society whose mission is to protect our unique architectural heritage, and preservation of our buildings. The Inside Downtown Tour will have you neighborhood-trotting through a variety of downtown areas that include Washington Square Park, Swillburg, and Corn Hill. You will be going from one building to another which can consist of condos, houses, churches, and hotels. Many of the local residents open up their homes so you can have a better idea of layout, design, and floor-plans (along with many snack treats in there cupboards along the way) It will take you about 2 days to complete the tour, and remember to consult your map wisely. Google Tip! - Follow the order of the numbers provided on your map.

HILTON GARDEN INN: Once a National Clothing company, now a luxurious 4-Star Hotel. The Hilton Garden reminded you of being in a hotel in the middle of the woods with all the amenities. The tour guides where very informative going over the original arched ceilings, and decorative plaster. The pool and fitness room are incredible, as it spanned out the entire bottom floor. While the rooms looked posh/modern, they are VERY TINY. Drifter's Restaurant is also located in this hotel, which I will review later.

GEVA ARTISTS LOFTS: Right next store Geva houses all there outbound actors in posh studio apartments. These units while small, make it accessible for the actors to commute to the Geva. Also a great spot to hang out with actors after the show!

FIRST UNIVERSALIST CHURCH: One of the only Romanesque Revival churches left standing in Rochester. The church had spectacular stained glass windows, which told a story as you progressed. This church celebrates the unification of all religions under the power of God. They demonstrate that through the giant brass theatre organ that plays during mass.
