It was a good place for electronic components... a few years ago. Now the stock is low. Is good for old pieces though.
Very very knowledgable staff, huge interesting collection. They didn't have quite what I was looking for, but they had a lot of things that were nearly the correct thing.
Since Radio Equipment Corp. in Buffalo went out of business, I now make the trip to Rochester if I cannot find the part in the Buffalo area. Goldcrest is a great asset. Most of the time they have the part I need, and if they don't have it in stock they will order it and call me when it arrives. Their prices are very reasonable. SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING
If you don't have the time to wait for a part online, Goldcrest is most likely your only option for the Rochester area. Staff is helpful and they have a variety of electronics goodies. And they have RGB strips!
